1. The function of air filter element

The function of the air filter element of the screw air compressor is to enter the oil-containing compressed air generated by the host into the cooler, and enter the oil-air filter element for filtration through mechanical separation. It intercepts and collects the oil mist in the gas to form oil droplets concentrated at the bottom of the filter element, and passes through the oil return pipe. Return to the compressor lubrication system to enable the compressor to discharge more pure and high-quality compressed air; in short, it is a device that removes solid dust, oil and gas particles and liquid substances in the gas from the compressed air.

2. Air filter maintenance process

First, open the end cover, loosen the air filter element fixing bolts, take out the filter element, check the air filter element for clogging, and use compressed air to blow away the dust from the inside out. Be careful not to press the compressed air too high to avoid damaging the air filter element. If the air filter element has been damaged, it should be replaced in time. To check whether it is damaged, you can use an electric light to place it inside the air filter element and observe whether there is any light exposed from the outside. The air filter element should also be replaced with a new one when the surface of the filter element is stained with oil. Finally, after cleaning or replacing the filter element, reinstall the air compressor and cover the end cover. After starting the machine, check whether the differential pressure switch equipped with the air filter element is normal.
